My Experiences when Working at an English Course in 2022

I would like to share my experiences when I was trainee at an English course. This story has served a learning experience and it has helped me to improve my skills. However, I will not return to teach at an English course, although, I still need a comfortable office for working in the future.

I applied for a job at my English course in August 2022. I then had an interview and met with my division head at the time. After that, I attended a two-week training. On the first day of training, I shook hands with the students and then I saw the students studying with the English teacher from nine o'clock that morning to six o'clock that evening. After observing the teaching and learning activities at the English course, I returned home at six that evening. Then, I had to observe the teaching and learning activities and accompany the English teacher at work from morning until evening. However, on the third day of training, my supervisor came and forbade me from using gadgets during training at the English course. Then my supervisor scolded me for wearing a black shirt and a black hijab on the third day of training. In fact, my supervisor forced me to study and memorize customer service training quickly at that time.

Finally, I was very stressed during the training there. Then my supervisor forced me to delete my Instagram posts because my posts on Instagram had disrupted their performance at that time. After that, my supervisor forced me not to write and bring a journal to the English course. How cruel my supervisor's attitude was! I was very demotivated and I applied for jobs elsewhere online at that time.

Because my supervisor was so cruel, I couldn't physically and mentally handle it. then I took sick leave and rested at home. Finally, I decided to resign and not continue training in the English course at that time. Apparently, working in an English course is not easy and working there requires both mental and physical preparation. My supervisor there was very strict, which easily demotivated me while I was a trainee. Maybe my supervisor is still working there now, so it was easy for me to find work at another school to continue being a teacher at that time.

Working at my English course was very multitasking, and it was incredibly challenging. I was traumatized by working with a cruel supervisor, so I resigned, and I was motivated to open a private English class.

The Reasons Why I Changed My Career from Teaching English in the School to Working as a Graphic Designer

Hello everyone. I would like to tell you about the reasons why I have changed my career from teaching English language in the school to working as a graphic designer. After feeling demotivated at my school, eventually, my leader reassigned me from being an English teacher to being a graphic designer in my school starting in January.  Handling the Teachers' Administrations are More Difficult and Challenging than Designing the Pictures During my first period of teaching at the school, I managed to complete my teaching administration tasks well. Then, I managed to create English exam questions well and successfully in 2023. In fact, I could complete my tasks as a teacher without any assistance from my leader at that time. At that time, I attended school twice a week and completed my duties as a teacher while discussing with my students in 2023. Unfortunately, during my second period of teaching at the school, my leader required me to come to school once a week, and my mood began...

The Reasons Why I Switch My Career from Working in Education Sectors to Working in Creative and Media Sectors

The Salary of Graphic Designer is Higher than The Salary of English Teacher   If I work as a graphic designer in a virtual office, I can earn a salary above the regional minimum wage, ranging from five million to fifteen million rupiah. Furthermore, I can pay for my housing expenses and save for the future. Meanwhile, if I work as an English teacher at a school, I earn below the regional minimum wage, ranging from two hundred thousands to nine hundred thousands rupiah. However, my salary is not enough to pay for my housing expenses and save for the future. If I needed more money, I would have to find a side job besides teaching English at school. I had to work virtually as a graphic designer from home to increase my income and pay for my household expenses. Because my economic needs were increasing and my salary wasn't enough to pay my living expenses, I had to start a business besides teaching English at school at that time.  There wasn't Training for Teachers at My Work...
